Ceará maravilha: Morro Branco

Morro Branco é uma pequena vila, que pertence ao município de Beberibe, distante 80 quilômetros de Fortaleza. A cidade ficou conhecida pelas belas dunas e as falésias, que atraem visitantes do mundo todo.

English: Morro Branco is a small village , part of Beberibe District and located 80 kilometers away from Fortaleza. It's very famous for its beautiful dunes and the labyrinth of falésias that attracts visitors from all over the world.

Ceará maravilha: Mulher rendeira

D. Olinda é a única mulher rendeira moradora de Morro Branco. Na foto, ela tece a renda-de-bilro produzindo bordados delicados.

English: Mrs. Olinda is the only female lacemaker in Morro Branco. At the picture, she weaves the "renda-de-bilro" making delicate embroideries.

Para andar no labirinto das falésias eu recomendo contratar um guia. São educados e conhecem o lugar. Eles não cobram , mas recomendo pagar R$10,00. Eles merecem :)

English: To walk through the labyrinth of falesias I recommend asking for a tour guide. They are polite and know the history of the place. You don't need to pay for it, but I recommend tipping them about R$10,00. They deserve it :)

Os desenhos são feitos com as areias coloridas das falésias. São feitos em vários tamanhos e também em garrafas, cinzeiros, chaveiros, que custam de R$5,00 até R$30,00, como esses da foto.

English: The paints are made with the colored sands from the falesias. They're made in different sizes and in vases, bottles, ashtrays, keyrings,that cost from R$5,00 to R$30,00, like these at the picture.

Sobre Fortaleza

Fortaleza fica na região nordeste e é a 5ª maior do país. São 2,5 milhões de habitantes e atrai turistas do mundo inteiro, sendo o destino turístico mais procurado pelos brasileiros. A cidade agrada a todos os gostos, desde o mais simples ao mais sofisticado. Me mudei para cá em 2004 e me adaptei sem problemas ao clima, às praias, à gastronomia, etc. Mas o Ceará tem muito mais do que as belíssimas praias e é isso que pretendo mostrar, através do meu olhar.
Fortaleza is located at the northeast region and is the 5ª biggest city of the country. There are 2,5 million citizens and attracts tourists from all over the world, being the most visited destination by brazilians. The city appeals to all different tastes, from the simplest to the most sophisticated. It's been four years since I moved here, and very quickly adapted to the weather, the beaches, the food, etc. But Ceara is so much more than its gorgeous beaches and that's that I intend to show, through my eyes.
